Someone explain this to me

I was checking up on a recent online purchase I made and discovered that my package was currently in Greensboro, North Carolina.  This wouldn't be such a big deal, I suppose, except for the fact that before it had been in Greensboro, NC it had previously been in Des Moines, Iowa.  But wait, it gets even better!  Where did the package originate from?  Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.  Now, I'm no cartographer, but does this make any sense:

This, my friends, is why the post office is losing billions of dollars a year.  Pray for this package.

Maybe it's on its way to Madison, North Carolina, pop. 2,255...it's only got a half an hour to go from Greensboro!
